The Africa Construction and Mining Excellence Awards (ACAMEA) is jointly organized and owned by the Tanzania Mining Industry Suppliers Association (TAMISA), Eastern Star Consulting Group Limited, and The Global CEO Institute South Africa.
The Awards serve as a high-level continental platform for continuous improvement and industry benchmarking, recognizing organizations that are building sustainable, high-performance institutions driven by strong governance frameworks, operational excellence, and measurable key performance indicators.
As a flagship recognition program within the construction and mining ecosystem, ACAMEA evaluates participating organizations based on the robustness of their business processes, long-term sustainability of results, and their commitment to fostering a culture of innovation, continuous learning, and strategic growth.

How to Participate
Application
Receiving applications from interested organizations to participate in ACAMEA. Organizations then forward a list of ACAMEA champions who’ll spearhead the process internally.
Assessment
The participating organization conducts a self-assessment backed up by comprehensive supporting evidence. This is then followed up by desk analysis from ACAMEA external consultants before a full-day site visit assessment to the participating organization.
Gala
Announcement of winners will be done with great publicity in a GALA event to be held at
Serena Hotel, Dar es Salaam City and awards (certificates and Trophies will be issued at the event). Media teams will be commissioned to broadcast the event live.

The winning companies will be free to make the best use of the Africa Company of The Year Awards 2025 logo for one year from the date of receiving the award. Winners can use the ACAMEA logo across all social media platforms, TV Ads, brochures, banners, product packaging and more.
AWARDS CRITERIA
The pinnacle of the Company of Year Awards 2026 (ACAMEA 2026) process is the Gala night presentation of the award winners. The most outstanding companies receive awards of excellence in various management categories.
To participate, organizations have to meet at least three of the following criteria.
- Have a minimum of 5 employees.
- Have a minimum annual turnover of USD 1 million and above.
- Have a minimum asset base of USD 500K.
- Have operated for at least the last 12 months and are legally registered in AFRICA
- Able to openly declare, fill in registration forms as per requirements of the registration criteria provided.

REGISTRATION: Following Screening and shortlisting, the selected / shortlisted companies will be noticed to register and pay for the registration fees of the ACAMEA 2026 Winners selection process. Shortlisted candidates will be asked to pay a registration fee at this stage as detailed below.
